Hello, my name is Jacob Jewett. I am an information technology and cybersecurity professional with more than 29 years of experience. I currently serve as a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer at a Fortune 500 company. Previously, I worked as a Senior Incident Response Analyst, a Vulnerability Management Specialist, and began my career as a Systems Engineer. I am known as a collaborative team member and a trusted resource, and I have been proud to support my current organization for more than 12 years.

My educational background includes a degree in Information Systems Engineering, along with multiple industry and vendor certifications. I enjoy taking on unfamiliar problems and turning them into strengths by developing subject-matter expertise. I balance confidence in my experience with a willingness to listen, and I am always ready to acknowledge what I do not know and learn from others. I believe knowledge sharing is essential to individual growth and team success.

Outside of work, I volunteer actively in my community through Scouting. I currently serve as an Council Technology Committee Chair, Roundtable Commissioner, District Recruitment Co-Chair, and District Klondike Event Chair.

I built this site to showcase the breadth of my experience and to share resources that may help others. In high school, a mentor provided practical guidance that helped me launch my career, and I still rely on many of the tools and lessons he shared. That experience motivated me to look for opportunities to support others in the same way.

My mentor, my father, and Scouting have each played a meaningful role in shaping my leadership style and values. I prioritize integrity, empathy, and service, and I believe the Scouting America program remains highly relevant today. I am committed to expanding access to Scouting and supporting those who participate—when I’m not working, you’ll often find me involved in a Scouting activity.
